Meet Imani Kindred
MSW, LMHP-S

“I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
— 3 John 1:2
From a young age, I have felt a deep calling to care for those who may be and feel overlooked, weary, and/or underserved. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and bring over seven years of hands-on experience with supporting individuals across the lifespan — including older adults, individuals with disabilities, and those navigating emotional, behavioral, or physical challenges.

My professional background includes work in nursing home and rehabilitation settings, as well as supporting children, adolescents, and older adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in school, home and community environments. Personal life experiences have enabled me to help care for loved ones navigating aging, dementia, diabetes and life transitions. I am particularly passionate about serving older adults navigating life, grief and life transitions, and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or caregiver stress.

I understand that life moves in seasons — seasons of reflection and pondering, planting, waiting, uncertainty, growth, loss, rebuilding, renewal, redirection and so forth. With the right support and tools, those seasons do not have to define us or overwhelm us. There’s hope and healing is possible. Healing often begins with a safe space to think clearly, process honestly, and move forward intentionally.

As a child of The Most High and follower of Christ, my faith shapes how I see life and people — worthy of care, dignity, compassion, honesty and hope. For clients who desire it, I am comfortable integrating faith into our work together. For others, my approach remains grounded in respect, clinical integrity, and evidence-based care. My aim is to walk alongside you with presence, prayerful wisdom, and care.

I believe every season of life matters and much of our well-being and success as individuals stems from a healthy mind and understanding and walking in our purpose well. As it has been taught to me, the way we think influences the choices we make, and those choices shape the quality of our lives. Together, we can identify patterns, strengthen resilience, and cultivate practical strategies that support wellness and enable you to fulfill your purpose in life well.

It is an honor to walk alongside clients as they make meaningful adjustments toward healthier living — spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and relationally.
