Blogging is a platform I've often been hesitant to explore. I used to question myself, wondering, “What are you even going to talk about, Dominique?!” However, as my faith deepened and my understanding of the human mind expanded, I realized that there is just so much on my heart that I would actually want to share.
I often talk about true inner emotional healing and what that looks like for believers. The importance of accepting both faith and therapy or why past traumas can linger even despite being a believer. As well as the value of embracing our emotions rather than ignoring them as followers of Christ.
My desire is to bridge the gap between faith and mental well-being through not only my practice, but through these blogs. It's crucial for believers to recognize that experiencing emotions is natural and that processing/feeling them is key to healing from past wounds. I always say, “you cannot heal something you refuse to feel- you gotta feel to heal”
When someone experiences an adverse life event, the negative emotions from "said event" become a seed that burrows its way into their hearts. I am a firm believer that with the help of God and therapy, that seed can be pulled from its root and a new seed of peace, joy, love and freedom can replace it.
As I embark on this blogging journey to explore these themes, I invite you to join me in discovering the lessons and insights the Lord has in store for us. Let's travel together on this path of renewal for our hearts and minds. My prayer is that through the words I share, you'll find hope, peace, and healing, enabling you to grow, evolve, and blossom into a new version of yourself.
